ROCK FORT ROCK RIDDIM [FULL PROMO] – LIFELINE MUSIC – 2012
Lifeline Music Presents The “Rock Fort Rock Riddim” Produced By Niko Browne.
Riddim Review: By Jodee Brown
Internationally acclaimed producer, Niko Browne has once again put his visible stamp on Jamaican music as he’s unveiled his newest project, the Rockfort Rock Riddim.Known for producing smash hits such as Simple Song by Konshens and Rich in Love by Romain Virgo, Browne and his Lifeline Music label have released the Rockfort Rock Riddim, a compilation reminiscent of sounds from the 70s and 80s when Reggae music became universally popular. In order to match the effervescence of the beat, a host of A-list artistes have graced the Rockfort Rock Riddimto build on its presence.
The aforementioned Virgo shines with his single, Mussi Mad, a straight-laced single that calls out persons who seek to disrespect God and those in authority. A song that tries to set others on the right path, Mussi Mad hails as a testament to Virgo’s maturity as both a singer and person.
In an effort named similarly to Virgo’s sophomore album, Richie Stephens illustrates a scope of Jamaica’s current societal state with The System. Stephens gives an eye-opening assessment of today’s Jamaica, calling out corruption and the controversial measures which some persons take to ascend in life; truly relating to people who are fed up with the many problems within local society.
Wayne Marshall sings for the ladies as he asks, What If I? through his latest effort. Marshall represents the various men who test the wills of their significant other as he assures his woman of faithfulness when away from home while asking if she would still love him the same way should he leave home.
Highly acclaimed Reggae star, Protoje uses various conceptualizations in This Is Not a Marijuana Song as he sings of the pleasures and benefits that herbs offer while telling persons to embrace their habits responsibly as well as its identity, despite criticism within society.
Morgan Heritage’s Peetah Morgan speaks highly of the Motherland and its roots with Bloodline while
Cezar returns to the spotlight with inspiration via Rule Your Destiny. Rockfort Rock also features fast-rising Canadian based Dancehall/Reggae artiste, Exco Levi as he reaches out to the inner cities with In The Streets while Conkarah proves his strong chemistry with Niko Browne once more with his effort, No Barbershop.
The Rockfort Rock Riddim is currently available online with each of the singles accessible through Lifeline Music YouTube as well as Jamrockvybz.com. Additionally, Rockfort Rock will be available on iTunes June 5,2012.
